Impressionist Snowy Maple Tree Photo taken at Longwood in Portland, Maine. Winter became a perfect opportunity for exquisite snow scenes. The majestic old trees that surrounded our home were the perfect subject for impressionist nature photography. I was inspired by the famous painter, Claude Monet, when I emphasized the soft pastel flecks of light and color that are rendered in this photo.
